ABOUT US

To Meet You Where You Are and Help You Achieve Excellence

Dr. Yolanda Bracey, President & CEO of It’s Time Educational Services, LLC, has been meeting the needs of students for over two decades. She has worked with students in schools with high poverty levels to those in affluent schools.

Dr. Bracey began her career as an elementary special education teacher in an urban school district. During her tenure, Dr. Bracey created differentiated lessons for all of her students and trained her classroom assistants to meet the needs of each student. Eventually, Dr. Bracey was promoted to a special education case manager. This job allowed her to administer the academic portion of the special education testing process to students who were being evaluated for the first time or those who had already been receiving special education services, but were due for a re-evaluation.

After serving many years in the special education department of an urban school district, Dr. Bracey was blessed to be named the principal of the same urban elementary school in which she began her career.

Some of Dr. Bracey’s greatest accomplishments as principal included, but  were not limited to:

  • Ability grouping and differentiating the school’s classrooms
  • working with the leadership team to provide students and teachers with a wealth of support.
  • Ensuring the needs of students were being met whether they received special education or language development (ELL) services or were in the classroom where students could be provided with enrichment support.
  • Encouraging teachers to collaborate to brainstorm ways in which all needs were being met.

In her current role, Dr. Bracey is the director of elementary education. Her responsibilities include supervision of elementary school principals, working alongside teachers on various curriculum committees, coordinating and monitoring all high ability testing, writing Title II, Tile IV, Early Intervention, and High Ability grants, and monitoring the use of these funds. Dr. Bracey also organizes the elementary summer school program, early kindergarten assessments, professional development of teachers, and off-grade level high ability testing. Dr. Bracey also has developed working relationships with various entities at the state level and parents in multiple school districts.

Dr. Bracey is a member of the National Association of Gifted Children where she served as a reviewer of proposals presented for the national conference. She has also been selected to serve on a committee with the Department of Education where she was asked to assist with a new initiative by meeting with the core team to identify services that would be provided for students and families.

Dr. Bracey possesses two Master’s degrees–one in Elementary Education from Indiana University Northwest and another in Educational Administration from Purdue University Northwest. She also has obtained an Educational Specialist Degree/Superintendent’s license from Indiana State University and her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Oakland City University. Dr. Bracey is a life-long learner seeking academic excellence for her students and self. Dr. Bracey has also been certified as a school safety specialist.
